Award Winner Wednesday

Benjamin Franklinstein Lives! by Matthew McElligott and Larry Tuxbury

Meet Victor Godwin, science nerd and know-it-all, in this 2013 Bluebonnet nominee titled Benjamin Franklinstein Lives!.  Victor lives in the old house that happens to be the scene of Benjamin Franklin's return to life.  Did you think he was dead?  So did Victor.  The truth, according to this science fiction pick of the week, is that Benjamin's heart hasn't missed a beat in 200 years, even though he has been "asleep" during that time.  Benjamin Franklin is certain he has been awakened by the Modern Order of Prometheus.   He enlists a somewhat doubtful Victor to help him find the members of the society.  Can Ben in turn help Victor on his assignments, especially his science project?  Read this humorous tale to find out more about Benjamin Franklinstein.

There's another book in this series that sounds like a fun read called Benjamin Franklinstein Meets the Fright Brothers.  Get it at the Frisco Public Library or in your school library next fall.
